38 weeks!

Well here we are, at 38 weeks, technically you are set to come out anytime now Josiah.
Daddy and I are ready to meet you if you are ready to meet us, we are so excited to see you, and the rest of the family is getting axious too! Mommy has everything ready for you in your bedroom, I have a bag packed for you, set for the three of us to come home in. Daddy is working so hard in getting the last minute things done around the house.
I can tell that you are going to be alot like your Dad, because of all the streching that you are doing in putting your little feet in my ribs alot of the time. Although uncomfortable for me, it lets me know that you are going to make me a very busy mommy.
Here you are in my belly at 38 weeks.

Yes I am still working, the last day of work for me is the 12th of February, maybe he'll come out before that, who knows. But since it is my first, most of us know the rumor of going into labor a little later than your regular due date. I guess we'll see!

He's almost here! Only 4 weeks left

So now I'm getting to the point of my pregnancy where I'm getting an appointment every week. You know the regular stuff like checking for dilating and stuff. Apparently my mid-wife says that I am 40% effaced, and starting to dilate, but not 1 centimeter yet.
The belly at 36 weeks

Belly button...a little funny looking now.

Not too many stretch marks...

In the meantime, my bestest friend in the whole world, in otherwords, my husband, has been so supportive through all of this. He has been helping me with the cleaning, cooking, laundry, you name it. He's been working full time at his job, plus working at the church, plus working a few days a week at the other Mcdonalds. He is truly amazing!
However, I am still working mostly full time at work, went from 40 hours a week to 30 hours a week which dosen't seem like much considering that I'm still on my feet all day. I didn't realize how tired I would be. With the backaches, swelling feet, and the belly in the way, it is definitely challenging. At least I still have a little bit of strength before bed, to have a decent conversation with the love of my life.
Pregnancy has been great and normal this whole time, no problems whatsoever. Hopefully labor and delivery will be the same way. I have decided to try and go with a natural birth at the Salem hospital, but since all women labor differently, I am not opposed to the idea of an epidural. I have some ideas to help me relax, and not concentrate on the pain, but I guess we'll see.
We have had so much love and support from friends and family, that I know that we'll always be taken care of.

Little Josiahs Room (almost done)

We were given so much, we haven't had to buy anything, except for the little things that I went out and bought myself just for the joy of it.
Just about everything you see in these pics, and more, has been given to us. God has been so awesome in blessing us with such great love and support from friends and family, I can never thank them all enough! Thank you!

Baby changing table/storage for blankets, this was an old kitchen cabinet area, I just cleaned it up a little!

And most of you know me...I love elephants!

A dresser given to us...

A veiwpoint of when you first walk in the room, with a safari theme! I love it!
Not quite finished, just the little things that need to be done like a little more artwork on the walls..

Bassinett, will be going in our room soon.

His crib, complete!
I love the big stuff animals, and yes they will be taken out when he sleeps in it! I love just to stare and daydream, lol.

I randomly made this one day, its right outside of his door.

Ben and I have an awesome friend Tara that is a photographer and took some really great pics of us for Christmas cards and maternity pics! Tara, Stephanie, Ben and I all had a blast doing these up, the day was slighty rainy, but we did as many as we could outside. Knowing that this is Oregon, we did have a backup plan. Enjoy!

Rainy day in Salem Oregon

Tara just randomly made this little ornament to go with the maternity/Christmas theme, so cute!

Merry Christmas!
