Pregnancy: Week 10

Last week on the 18th we went to visit the birth center, I loved it so much that I ended up making our prenatal appointment that same day. So my next visit will be on the 30th of July, I will be pretty close to 11 weeks by then.
It was beautiful there! When I walked in I was greeted ever so kindly by a lady named Jen, she made me feel so welcome and at home. Josiah runs straight towards the toys, :) I follow him over to play with him while I waited to talk to one of the midwives. I noticed a very lovely lavender smell, so fresh and clean smelling.
When we were called back, we were brought into one of the rooms that I may be birthing in, it was a huge, nice size open room. A queen size bed in the middle, with soft colored bedding. A large tub, suited for birthing on the side, some windows on the other. The bathroom was a really nice size too. I have a feeling that I'm going to be enjoying my short stay here. :)
I loved the visit that I had with Desiree, she was going to be my midwife but we ended up having to change because we had some insurance issues. :/ But that was fine, I will have a different midwife who just joined the family. Desiree gave me so much information, things that I never heard my previous midwives talk about. After I told her my birth story of Josiah, down to the last detail, she told me stories in return. Telling me and encouraging me that I can do it naturally. I have felt really at peace with natural birth a few weeks ago, but she just made it so much more real. I thought that I was calm about it before, but now, I'm even more ready. :) I had a 4-degree tear with Josiah, and I was really worried about tearing again. It took me so long to heal and recover and I had some depression along with it. I had an awful postpartum experience. She told me all the many different ways that I can birth this baby, to prevent me from tearing that much again. This time I will be able to feel my body, I'll be able to push when I need to, and hold back when I need to. I know that I can do it!
I used to hate going to prenatal appointments, they were so long and boring and repetitive. Now, I'm actually looking forward to going. :)
Alright so I guess it's time for me to discuss what's been going on in week 10 of this pregnancy. :)

Week 8
Week 9
Week 10

Symptoms? I still have some pretty intense fatigue. My nausea is actually getting better, I have been able to eat a lot more than I have in the past few weeks without the urge to throw it back up. Still always hungry though, good thing I always keep a granola bar in my purse for a quick and easy snack. My skin has definitely been breaking out more. Not just on my face though, I've never had to experience any kind of body acne till now. It's not a fun experience. You know that "pregnancy mask" that people talk about? Yeah, I have that too, some days I think that I look more raccoon than human. Boobies are still sore and big. :/ This is probably the symptom that I hate the most. I'm kinda more on the short side, so me being a little more "blessed" up top makes me feel a little lopsided.

Cravings? Popsicles! Like the ones that you used to get when you were a kid. Ice cream, which is rare, cause I'm one of the weird people in the world that doesn't really care for it that much. Chinese food. Peaches. Sour gummy worms. Frozen Blueberries. Cheese crackers.

Mama Buys? This week I was able to buy some much needed bras! I got 3 regular day to day ones and one nighttime one. They are maternity/nursing bras. I did spend a little bit on them, but that' alright, I'll be using these for the next few years before I need to buy any new ones.

Picture?
Not this week.

That's about it for this week.
Thanks for reading!

17 month update

It's been awhile since I have done an update on Josiah. I kinda feel bad, because I have been doing so good so far on my pregnancy updates. Hopefully I can keep a better record of these when things calm down a little more in the near future. Preferably after this first trimester, cause boy it has been difficult keeping up with things around this house! Here is a 17 month update of Josiah, which turns over the 17th of every month.

Weight gain?
Last doctors appointment we went too he was about 26 pounds, he has been this weight for the last 4 months! He has a short and stocky type of built it looks like so far.

Vocabulary?
He says Uh-Oh when someone drops something, even him! so cute!
"Dis"-Means this? as in he is asking a question, he says that word while pointing at an object, as if he wants to know what the word of that object is.
Mama and Dada are clear, and is always directed at the right person, I love this!
Kiki-means kitty cat, this kid loves animals.
Gah-I can't put my finger on this one, but it usually sounds like a question, and he says it a lot.
Duce-Juice
Peas-Please
Dank ah-Thank you
I can't think of anymore right now, but if I do remember I'll post it in the 18 month update.

Other cute random things that catch my eye?
We have this book that makes music when you push the button, Josiah pushes the buttons to make music and turns around in circles while waving his arms. It's quite entertaining.
He likes to sit on his big comfy chair and flip through his picture books, if he wants to be read too he'll bring you a book and sit on your lap.
He likes to watch Sesame Street, he likes to dance to the music and watch the puppets.
Any time we ask for a kiss, he gives one to us, he has gotten really good at this!
He gives good hugs when you ask him, what a lover boy. :)
Sleeping has been a challenge lately, but has improved just last night. I think that he senses this pregnancy, so the change has made him such a cuddle bug.
It has been hard to keep him entertained though, I'm always so tired and I just want to sleep all the time.
He gets antsy in the house very easily, if he gets like this he terrorizes my house! Which isn't really his fault cause he just needs something new to do other than play with his toys that he has had for so long. He is starting to grow out of most of them. When this happens I try to get one of the mom's over to get him out! Or I have Ben take him to run errands.
He had really begun to be close to Dad, they are starting to play together more and more. It is the best thing to watch your husband play with his son.

Lastly, a picture.
Josiah at 17 months and my mom
Well that's all that I can think of at the moment.
We went to see the midnight showing of Batman last night and didn't get home till 3, so this preggo is needing some serious Zzz's. :)
So I'm going to go take a nap while Josiah is down.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Pregnancy: Week 9

Today is the day that Ben and I go up to Bella Vie and get a tour of their birth center and I get to talk to the midwife that I may be having throughout my pregnancy
After I get home from that, I'll be making the pregnancy official on Facebook today.

Also to those women that I saw this morning, I am so so sorry!
I meant to tell you all at Chris's house but totally spaced it! Darn pregnancy brain! Grrrr!
9 weeks
Possible TMI
Symptoms? Nausea is still pretty bad, not very many things seem appetizing anymore.Saltines have been my best friend lately. Still pretty tired, naps are a must around here, Josiah goes down, I go down. That even counts for bedtime too. I'm pretty forgetful^^^hence me forgetting to tell all my ladies about the big news, who in the world would forget that?! All the other ones have seemed to have gone away.

Cravings? Sour stuff! Grapefruit, strawberries, grapes, grilled cheese, salad with chicken, Safeways rotisserie chicken, KFCs mashed potatoes and gravy, iced cold orange juice.

Weight? Not sure, probably gained a couple. :)

Maternity attire? I can still fit into all my pants, since I lost the 8 or so pounds I have been able to wear my regular size. Need to buy some maternity/nursing bras! I'm wearing my largest one as we speak and it is way to small. I actually made my way down to Motherhood Maternity and I had one of the ladies measure me there. I am 2 cup sizes BIGGER that I thought I was! No wonder I'm having a hard time with my bras. I have to wear large-like shirts so as not to show my boobs popping out of my bra. Flowy light shirts are my fave right now along with skirts.

Picture?

My shirt wasn't pulled back nearly far enough! LOL, I didn't think that I looked that big, but It seems like the camera has a different idea.

Sleep issues

Today has been rough, on top of being pregnant, Josiah has NOT been sleeping well at all.
It's not really the fact that he won't sleep through the night without waking, I can handle that. I just figure out what he needs and he goes right back to sleep.
But lately, for the last 4 nights, this kid will not go to sleep in his crib or with Ben and I for that matter.
I feel like I have tried everything. From letting him "cry it out"(cringe:/) to the "no cry-sleep" method, he won't do it! I almost think that he senses the baby in me?
So right now, the only thing that I can think of is he cries for about 20-30 minutes(which I HATE!). I go and get him from downstairs and I bring him upstairs and rock him. In about an hour he will fall asleep on my chest. I've tried to just rock him to sleep without him crying, but he just gets to excited and wants to play. I have to have him cry so that he gets tired. I can't really think of any other way of doing it.
If you guys got ANYTHING, I'm willing to hear your advice. My ears are open!
I think that if I wasn't pregnant, I could probably handle it a little bit better.
This morning wasn't very fun either, I don't know what the neighbor people are thinking but apparently working with a very loud pressure nail gun is a good idea at 6 in the morning. On a SUNDAY!!! :/ Why?!
I am super fatigued with this pregnancy and all I want to do is sleep, and it feels like I don't get a break.
But...
Thank God for Grandmas!

I called up my mom and told her what's been going on and she was willing to take Josiah out of the house for me after he gets up from his nap, which is so awesome and I am so grateful for this little bit of quiet time to do laundry in peace and rest a little before I have to attempt to put Josiah asleep tonight.
Another thing...
Josiah woke up from his nap around 3 and when I went to go and get him...
he took off his POOPY diaper, and it was all over the bed!
Thank God it wasn't all over the walls like last time. It was just in a few big lumps on his bed and he peed some. This was totally my fault as I told Ben that he didn't need any pants for bed.
I forgot that we put a Velcro cloth diaper on him for sleep time because I pack them the most with soakers and doublers so that he doesn't leak all over the place. Josiah can take those off, and as always my pregnant mind didn't remember that small important detail.
So after smelling the nice big whiff of poo from his bedroom I put him in the tub and my mom came just in time to take him and dress him so that I can clean up the poo mess.
It was an easy clean up, which was good, cause my nausea was dealing with it very well. :/

Hopefully I get my rest tonight, I had a good weekend, I'm just ready for my son to fall asleep on his own again. :)

Freebie

I'm a FREEBIE nut! Just ask anyone!
Companies are always trying to get their products out there and to do that they give out free samples. I always try and take advantage of those samples.
Hey, why not?
This is one that I really wanted to share, since I'm going to be breastfeeding this LO, and I have a electrical pump already for when I have an overload of milk. It's better to have to much than not enough right?

P.S-It does ask for a phone number, but i just gave them a phony(old) number. You will still get the product. I don't give out my phone number to companies, otherwise they will call you for a question and answer conversation. I hate those!

Take advantage of these freebies! As I will try to be posting them often.

A little secret... :)

I just can't hold in the excitement any longer!
Seeing all the adorable baby announcements is making me more and more anxious to tell you that...

Sorry for the blur. :/
 We are Pregnant!

Some of you already know just by following my You Tube video logs and now I am finally making it official to my fellow bloggers.
We have told family and a few friends and now that we have our ultrasound picture, I am comfortable that this one is the real deal!
Our Rainbow baby is due in February!
Although we didn't get to hear the heartbeat we got to see it!
It made me feel so much better, and everything looks healthy with our little bean!
We aren't going to announce it on Facebook just yet. Not sure when we will, maybe a week from now or 10 weeks? 13? If someone comes across my blog and finds out on their own then I'm fine with that. So for now, all you blog readers out there are some of the first to know! :)

Once again, our babies will be close to around 1 month apart! haha! Isn't that funny?! ;)
Also, I booked an appointment with your beautiful Bella Vie on the 18th of July for a tour and consultation.
I can't wait to check it out and to meet the midwives. :) I have so many questions.

Also, this one is due only a few days from Josiah's birthday.
Josiah's Birthday : February 17th
Baby's EDD: February 20th

This is going to be interesting not only having 2 kids with birthday's close together, but I'm going to be having 2 in diapers! What a journey that this will be.

Here is my official pregnancy weekly update.

8 weeks
Caution: Possible TMI
Symptoms? Nausea is the worse! I can't cook meat. I can't go too long without eating or I get sick. I can't eat too much or I'll throw it up. Grr. Being hungry all the time doesn't help either. Fatigue, I can't seem to get enough sleep these days. Sore Boobs,Ouch! Bigger Boobs, by one whole cup size. :/  Peeing all the time. Bloated. Heartburn. Constipation

Cravings? Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Peanut butter toast. Turkey BLT sandwiches.

Weight? I have lost about 8 lbs so far because of this extra healthy eating craves that I have. Which is good because I still have some of the weight left over from Josiah. I am little over my BMI.

Picture?

So I'm a little bloated and my cute bright pink shorts are getting a little tight on me. I'm trying to get as much use out of them as possible this year. Hopefully I can wait to wear maternity clothes for a little while.
Now I am on the look out for some super cute comfy dresses to wear for the rest of the summer.
Well that's all that I can think of with this update! 9 weeks is just around the corner. ;)
Thanks for reading!
